What is Menopause?

Menopause is the stage when:

  • A woman’s periods stop permanently
  • Ovaries stop releasing eggs
  • Hormone levels (especially estrogen) decrease

 It is confirmed when periods stop for 12 consecutive months.

  • Usually between 45–55 years
